Hamill, SD's Sewage Cleanup Team, Full PPE Every Job

Blackwater contamination poses real health risk, unlike clean-water leaks, which is why it needs a different protocol.

Carpet, pad, and often drywall that touched sewage typically can't be saved due to contamination risk.

We use EPA-registered antimicrobial products specifically rated for blackwater contamination.

We don't close the file until air and surface checks pass.

Often yes, especially for sudden sewer backups, though coverage varies by policy — we can help document the loss for your claim.

We recommend calling right away rather than attempting any cleanup yourself given the biohazard involved.
